All-American Booth back from World Cup

When Melanie Booth finally returned to the UF soccer team, the last thing
she expected to receive was a standing ovation.
Booth, who spent the past year training with the Canadian national team,
traveled from the World Cup in China to Omaha, Neb., where the No. 15 Gators were preparing for Sunday's match against Nebraska. And when UF's bus pulled up to a hotel to pick up the redshirt senior, the reunion could only be described as joyful.
The Gators stood up and chanted Booth's name as she boarded the bus,
and although appreciating the gesture she admits she was a bit overwhelmed. |
