Men's golf begins season ranked No. 1

When the UF men's golf team begins its spring season Saturday, it may
not be greeted by 90,000 screaming fans at the Swamp or by any Rowdy Reptiles shouting its name.
However, when the team plays its one home tournament of the year, there
is one thing it will have in common with the national championship teams -- a No. 1 ranking. |

Monday that Arnond (Bank) Vongvanij has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at the University of Florida in 2007.

Former Golfer DiMarco To Donate Funds From PGA To UF
Former University of Florida men's golf standout, Chris DiMarco has
designated his alma mater as the recipient of a $100,000 donation as part of the Golf: For Business and Life program. The donation is a portion of $1.3 million that the PGA of America will donate to 19 colleges and universities nationwide on behalf of U.S. Ryder Cup captain Tom Lehman and his players. Horschel excited about upcoming Walker Cup

GAINESVILLE - Bayside High graduate Billy Horschel has played in NCAA
championships, in the U.S. Amateur and in pro events but his appearance Saturday and Sunday in the Walker Cup in Northern Ireland is very special.
"It's always a thrill when you have a chance to represent your country," he
