Gators welcome new year

Florida's 1 p.m. kickoff against Michigan in today's Capital One Bowl isn't as
much about finishing off the 2007 season on a strong note as getting "next year" going in the right direction.
On a team filled with freshmen and sophomores, there is little doubt the
Gators will expect much more in 2008 than repeating a 9-3 regular season and a trip to Orlando. That rebound starts today.
"Of course, we feel like we have a lot of talent coming back," sophomore
running back and kick returner Brandon James said. "We feel like we have a lot to prove next year. We feel like we let a lot of people down, and we let ourselves down this year. So amongst ourselves, everybody is chattering about it." |
