Meyer charms Gators fans in Osceola

Urban Meyer claps his hands three times and slides into a chair on a foot-
high platform. Six Sharpie pens sit on a table in front of him, and hundreds of Florida fans, most clutching a UF memento, stand in line nearby.
"Here we go," Meyer says, and so starts another two-hour Urban Meyer
Show with the Central Florida Gator Club.
For the next 59 minutes inside the exhibition building at Osceola Heritage
Park, he graces each of the fans with an autograph. Young ladies, old men and even two Hooters girls approach the table Friday. Meyer greets each one -- some with a nod, others an instant of eye contact, still others a quick "How ya doin'?" |
