Donovan eyes depth, size to rebuild

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - In the last month, the focus for Billy Donovan has turned
from the Orlando Magic to an overused "R" word.
Rebuilding.
"We're really in a situation this year where depth - without question - is an
issue for us, size is an issue for us," Donovan said during the Southeastern Conference men's basketball summer teleconference Monday, three months before preseason practice begins for the two-time defending national champions. "You're not going to lose five guys in an NBA Draft and Lee Humphrey and be able to come right back and replace all that. ... We've lost as much as anybody has lost in the country." |
